The woman in white sinks to the bottom of the ocean; her long dress billows elegantly in the dark.
The full moon casts a faint silvery light on her pale skin, purple lips and semi-open blue eyes. Her thin gold necklace reads “To Angelika with love”. She descends into the deep waters, her long blonde hair and lifeless arms occasionally whipped by the current.
Sometimes small packs of fish approach her with curiosity. They nibble at her ears or nose but quickly lose interest. Others have already eaten most of her fingers and toes.
Deeper still, in complete darkness, she passes small critters that live only in the most hidden recesses of the sea. They light up like fireflies around Angelika’s body and, for a moment, she seems to dance along with them.
